A little room to grow.
You don’t need it all figured out. Start with one small step.
Discover the
possibility in you.
Notice your strengths. Explore a new perspective. Find a next step that feels like yours.
What feels useful today?
Small moments. Real practice.Your discovery trail
0 of 12 steps exploredThe same twelve steps as the workbook, in the order of the three course days. Come back whenever it helps.
A thought to keep
“Not yet” leaves room.
You can recognise a difficulty and still ask, “What could help me take the next step?”
The Agapedo course
Grow together.
Some discoveries are better with people in your corner. Three days of activities, conversation and a little humour, with Tiaan de Waal.
Notice where you are
How are things, today?
Choose what feels closest. This is a personal snapshot, not a test or an assessment.
Your snapshots over time
Only on this deviceChange is a process. Look for movement over weeks, rather than a perfect number on any one day.
Your discovery lab
Twelve steps. Three days. Your pace.
Each step is a small activity inspired by the Agapedo workbook. Try them in order or start wherever you’re curious.
A taste of the course
In the workshop, you’ll try these ideas with other learners, hear different perspectives and get guidance from Tiaan. These activities are a starting point for that conversation.
Practise something that matters
Small is a good place to start.
One action. A realistic moment. Someone in your corner.
My seven-day practice

The Agapedo Youth Development Course
There’s more to discover. Together.
Bring your questions. Practise new skills. Leave with a plan that belongs to you.
Change is a process, NOT an event.
Three days for your next chapter
Each learner works in their own Agapedo Development Workbook. A seven-day group follow-up helps everyone review their first steps and adjust.
How each session works
- ConnectA familiar question or a short story.
- ExplainOne main idea, in simple language.
- ExperienceA workbook activity or puzzle.
- DiscussWhat happened? Where does this show up in everyday life?
- WriteQuiet time for your own reflections.
- ApplyEveryone chooses one small action.
What you leave with
- A map of your strengths
- A realistic goal with a next step
- A 30-day plan
- More helpful self-talk
- People you can turn to for support
- A sealed letter to your future self
For parents and schools
- Small groups of up to 16, so everyone is seen and heard.
- Sharing is always voluntary. Learners can pass, or use an everyday or made-up example instead of something painful.
- Personal writing stays private, and letters to the future self are sealed in envelopes.
- The group agrees to listen respectfully and not to repeat other people’s stories. If someone’s safety is at risk, Tiaan will act to keep them safe.
- Schools and organisations can book a private group. Ask about bringing the course to your venue.

Read about Tiaan ↗Why “Agapedo”?
Agape + pedagogy
Tiaan created the name in 2012 from two Greek ideas: agape, a selfless and caring love, and pedagogy, the art of teaching and guiding people.
Together they describe the heart of the course: developing people through care, guidance and purposeful teaching.
